7. BUREAU OF INDIAN STANDARDS ACT, 1986 |
By this Act, Bureau of Indian Standards is established for
the harmonious development of the activities of standardization &
marking and quality certification of goods. A Director General is
the Chief Executive authority of this Bureau. The bureau establish, publish and promote Indian Standard in relation to any article or process. The bureau is authority for granting licences under Indian Standards recognized by it. Having licence from Indian Bureau Standards, under any of its standards, make that article quality product for consumers which make marketing easy. |
